Gas, gas, gas

Yesterday, I filled up my WHOLE gas tank in my van (it was on empty) for only $23!! WOW! I bought the gas at costco for only $1.48/gallon. That makes me VERY happy! This summer it was almost $50 to fill up that same tank.

Funny gas story:
Last Saturday we stopped in Barstow to fill up and just off of the freeway we pulled into a 76 station. We stopped at the pump, but then we realized that gas was $2.53. We thought that maybe we could find something a little better so we pulled away. Just around the corner we found an AM PM and the gas was only $1.75!!! Isn't that crazy? I can see it being maybe a .10 difference, but it was almost a whole dollar! That saved us about $10 on the whole bill. We were pretty shocked. Adam must have been inspired to go look for something different!

Yes, I love that gas is not as expensive! I paid over $90 just a few months ago to fill up my van (that was when gas was over $4 and I had to put 23 gallons in). That was NOT fun!

I can't believe the difference in the prices of the two stations! --Jen

Wow - your van holds 23 gallons? Ours only hold about 12 or 13. Interesting! $90 is ludicrous!

I must have found that same station during the summer...only it was $4.99 a gallon and I found it for $4.69 a bit down the road. Love the gouging right off the freeway. :)

I'm so loving the low gas right now - I don't feel like I should go home and find something to sell off after I fill up my tank:)

And your van seriously only holds 12 or 13 gallons? Yikes - that must stink driving out to CA! Ours is around 22 or 23, too.

Your pictures are so cute by the way! I have to say I am loving the lower gas situation. I still am being careful about where I'm driving, but it makes me feel I can go visit my mom in West Jordan if I want to. It cost $60 this summer to fill up our little Honda, but just the other day it was on empty and it cost $25 to fill up, same as you and I was SOOO happy!

Okay. so I just looked at my receipt and it looks like our van holds about 16 gallons. But I find it bizarre that everyone else's vans hold 23 gallons...what's up with our van? Hmmmm.....

Wow, that's awesome! We're a bit higher at $1.85 or something (actually I did see one that was $1.74), but hey, I'm not complaining! Lets hope it sticks for a long, long time (but probably not!).

I filled my car up in SLC last night for $11.00 -- Geo Tracker that has about a 10 gallon tank. What a relief it is right now. I purposely waited to get up to SLC because I knew it was cheaper up there than it is down here. I got it for $1.45/gallon. I said to myself, "Merry Christmas, Chris!"

Our van holds 25 gallons. You should have tried to fill it a few months ago. I too, am so happy that gas prices have gone down, but they will not stay for too long. I sure hope our county does not put a hold on energy independance plans.

The price thing is very amazing. Why it was so wide a differnce is probably an immoral reason used by a very greedy owner. When we live in California, the AMPM stores were the cheapest in town always.

We're down to $1.39 at the Holiday gas station by our house (as of Dec. 12 in the am). Sweet mother of gas prices. Yo. -Jester

I misspoke...our gas is $1.83! We're still hoping it will go down more before "Arnold" starts adding .13-.15/gal to help him balance the budget. Definitely something wrong with this picture!
Love you,
