I'm a homemaker!

Well, not really, but yesterday I canned for the first time. I must say, it was successful. I canned/pickled banana peppers that I grew in our garden. I got the recipe off a website and when all was done, the cans sealed and I think we've got a winner. Makes me want to try pickling cucumbers. mmm, I love pickles.

Also, you can see above here, a picture of my second zucchini that I picked from the garden. The first one got grilled up with a little garlic salt and mixed with fresh grilled corn, scallions, unsalted butter, and pepper. Tasty indeed.

This one will get cooked in some Yaki Soba (sp?) I think. or maybe some zucchini bread.

Fun stuff.

Is this post from a bored Adam or Amy? I only say bored because I don't enjoy canning myself. I wish you'd come can for me! I don't like canning too much, but know I need to do more. Congrats on the good job yourself!

This post is from Adam. I guess we need to clarify this, huh!
Way to go, Adam!

Adam is a canner? Jake always cans with me - I think it goes with a guy's "hunting and gathering" instinct:)

Wow! I'm totally impressed. Come help us can apricots and then you can take some home. I won't have time being up in the hospital and they are just coming on.
You're awesome!
