Poor, poor Henry!

Our poor little Henry had a hard afternoon! He and 2 of his cousins, Abby and Leah, were playing in the "forest" behind Grandma's Chris's house and they stumbled across a hive of bees (or something like that - maybe they were wasps...we never actually saw them...). They were all stung multiple times and they were all very sad. There was a whole lot of screaming and crying! It must have been pretty terrifying for them to be attacked like that.
Henry ended up having 6 stings on his head and ears and arm and hand. He was so sad all the say home and all evening until he went to bed. And the worst part is that he was JUST stung on Sunday by a wasp on the back of his head and he was pretty sad about just the one sting.
Poor little boy.
Abby and Leah - we hope you're doing alright!

Abby and Leah were already terrified of bees/wasps/hornets and this didn't help! I guess the three of them will always have this experience to bond them, huh?

That makes me so sad! I called right when they were all screaming and crying. Poor kids!

Oh No!!! Poor kids! I'll have to watch that and warn my kids to stay away from there! I hope he's feeling better and has a better time the next time he's at grandma's house!

That's so sad, I hope they all recover and feel better soon.

Oh, no! Those poor little darlings! I hope they all recover well from their stings. I'm so sorry that happened. I hope no one is traumatized.

Grandpa Clark went outside first thing this morning and sprayed and sprayed. He killed hundreds of bees. I've never seen them so thick before. He will go out again in the morning and chase more because we don't want the little kiddos afraid to go outside and play.
I was so sad for the little ones yesterday. They were actually very brave considering how badly they were all stung.

Poor Little Henry is right! Gosh, we can all sympathize with a painful bee sting...and multiply by 6. That will be a bonding experience for Abby and Leah and Henry, but such a negative one! Good thing Jim could work the spray magic!
Love you little sad guys!

Poor little guy! Bees/hornets/wasps/etc seem to be really bad this summer -- I think I actually heard that there are more this year for some reason? Yuck! Here is to no more stings this summer.
