Spoke too soon...

This is an update to my post about my allergies. I called the doc on Monday to see how I am supposed to "end" all of this and they said to come in and get checked. When I did they said that my body isn't ready to be done with the therapy yet and so I just had to get a refill on my stuff. They said it all just depends on my body and it can take up to a year to be cured of the allergies! SO...needless to say I'm still doing it and it may be a while.
I just thought that once the 5 months were up I would be done. Oops!
For Chris: Adam does have a lot of allergies and we have talked about him going in to get tested, but we're not sure if we should go that route or have him go to an allergist. Now that we're on this new insurance (which doesn't cover naturalpathic doctors) we only have a limited amount left in our health savings account that we can use to go to the naturalpathic doc (it would be pretty expensive to pay out of pocket). So we'll just have to see. I'm sure it would be good for him, though!

I was talking about having him tested through an allergist. I had it done two years ago. It shocked me to find what I was actually allergic to -- we only did a partial test but I found out that I am definitely allergic to cedar and sage brush -- of all things. One of the reasons I don't try natural healing stuff is because our insurance doesn't ever cover it and it's so darn expensive.
I also have found that sometimes its a real scam -- they keep telling you that it will take longer so you have to go to more sessions or buy more of their products. I am VERY skeptical (at least for me) about many of those types of companies and "doctors" who work with homeopathic methods. I suppose they have their place, but there are some really scary guys out there proclaiming to be doctors and healers and, in fact, are scam artists. Be careful. But if you feel better, then proceed. I think Adam should see an allergist, though.
