Fall Leaves!

On Friday Henry and I had a blast playing in some fallen leaves while Ella was "trying" to nap. It was surprisingly really fun - I never did stuff like this when I was growing up because we didn't have a lot of leaves during this season. It's a fun activity to do!

These photos are so cute! I have always loved playing in the leaves. We would design floor plans of houses, hotels, etc., before we had to rake up the leaves and then would play in the houses - or we would rake roads and ride our bikes around the roads. When I was young, we also burned the leaves and it would be our "final" hot dog roast before it snowed. Our whole family would roast hot dogs over the fire from the leaves we had raked up. I have always loved fall.
You need to have Henry come up to our house and help us clean up a ton(!) of leaves. He could jump in the piles or we could even bury him in them. We have lots of work ahead of us with leaves.

Grandpa loves Hank. He is so fun, and he seems to know how to have fun in these pictures. Thanks to his parents for having him and loving him so much that he is happy.

Playing in the leaves is one of the highlighs for fall...especially for kids :). He's a cute little guy!

Jake did the same thing this past week. We were walking the dog out on a little trail by our house and he had a grand time kicking up all the leaves and throwing them around. Chester loved it too! I wish I'd had someone else around to take a picture since I was holding onto the dog's leash!

What fun you are having!
I can see that I missed a lot of exciting times growing up in San Francisco. Generally speaking, we had no leaves that fell...mostly eucalyptus, pines, firs, junipers.
Have fun for me!
