So, we've had a sippy cup go missing I think around Tuesday, maybe, and it had milk in it! It's so sad. I'm sure it's around here somewhere! And I'm pretty much come to terms with the fact that I will just have to throw it away when I find it. The idea of cleaning it out does not appeal. This sort of thing is frustrating to me! I like order and this is very much out of order...

I once found a bottle that had been missing for about 2 months. So I feel your pain!

Yucky...well, the good (?) news is...you'll probably be able to smell it before too long and then you'll be able to find it faster...:)
My favorite is when you find them hiding in the car and you have no idea how long it's been there. Oh, maybe you should check the van.
That's the worst! That has happened to us before, and the fermenting milk made the pluggy thing come loose so it leaked stinky stink all over my car. GROSS!
I used to count mine every night before I went to bed...just to make sure I had them all. Now, I just toss them out if I find them. Your brother will have nothing of that...if he ever finds one, he cleans it...maybe you can ask him for some tips...I think baking soda is involved...
Once, when Joe IV was about 3, he found an old one in the car and took a drink before I could stop him....lets just say, I'd rather clean an old sippy cup than vomit all over the car!
Have a happy day!

We lost one once and finally found it a week later in the "dishwasher" of the girls' play kitchen!
Hey Amy, it's Julie de Groot - I saw your blog on Sandy's. Your kids are so cute and growing so fast! I love the picture of Henry in the leaves - he looks so old!
I think every parent has experienced the unfortunate event of losing a sippy/bottle with milk in it. When we moved into our house at the end of July, I had just bought my son a new Dr. Brown's bottle (you know with the straw thing down the center), but he lost it the first day he used it. I could not for the life of me find it anywhere and it bugged the heck out me! Well just a few days ago I opened a drawer that had some storage in it and there was the bottle, 3 months later! I was gonna toss it, but the gross thing is that it really wasn't a problem cleaning because the milk had all come together in the center and formed one giant hard lump - like cheese or something - sick!
I seem to find them under the seat in the car! Yuck. Rotten milk is no fun! Good luck finding it! Cheap sippy cups are the way to go for this reason alone!
My boys lose sippy cups everyday. I finally gave up on giving them sippy cups and make them sit at the table to drink. Sometimes I find Ike's sippy cup and it usually has milk in it. So gross.
