Ella is crawling!

Hooray for Ella - she just started crawling a few days ago. She's been SO close for a while now, but she finally pushed through and did it. She's still new at it and only goes a few movements at a time and she's still a little awkward, but she's doing it! Hooray! We're so happy for her.
PS If you're wondering why she's just now doing this and she's 10 1/2 months, it's because for some reason our kids just do these kinds of things slowly. Henry didn't crawl until he was 11 1/2 months and he walked at 15 months. I guess it's just one of those things!
Good job Ella - we're so proud of you!

That's great! Now the trick is teaching her to crawl while wearing a dress at church. Sarah always crawled into her dress and got stuck. There's a reason you see little girls doing that funny "crawl" on hands and feet, not knees.

CONGRATULATIONS! I could tell the last time we played with her that she really wanted to get up and go but hadn't figured it out yet. Now she is going to have fun!
Way to go, little Ella!

Our girls are the same way- they both started crawling and walking late. Avery crawled at 10 months and didn't walk until 15 months. Finley started crawling at 9 months and just started walking last week (at 14 months). I was kind of panicked with Avery, but I didn't worry as much the 2nd time around. They all do things in their own time. Congratulations Ella!

Way to go Ella...now just coordinate growing your hair with your crawling! But your Mom "liked" short, short hair at your age.
We would really like to see you in action, and playing with big brother Henry!
Love you,

Don't feel bad, there's a little boy in our ward who's almost 17 months and still refuses to walk. He can walk with his mom's finger, but he just refuses to do it on his own. He's huge too. He'll be in nersery and still won't be able to walk. Besides, Henry has sure made up for walking late. That kid is awesome on a scooter. I can't even use one of those.
