Away we go...

We took Henry home Friday at about 6pm. We introduced him to the pacifier so that Amy could get a few moments of rest in between feedings. The little guy loves his mom. I am thinking of inventing a head piece that keeps the thing in his mouth - it is always falling out and he doesn't like that much.

It's been 8 days now. Carole and Joe (Amy's parents) stayed to help for a week, which was great. Now it's just the three of us and it is pretty cool. I sleep through everything, I think. Unfortunately, Amy does not. Henry sleeps next to the bed for now, to make it easy for Amy to get to him when he wakes. The first week was crazy and Amy barely slept. Henry is now sleeping 2-3 hours at a time at night, which allows Amy to sleep 5-6 hours a night now. the word cute is now the most often repeated word in the whole house (more than the word 'the'). Henry is a fun little guy, but it will be nice when he can smile.

Amy recovered very quickly. She is amazing. She cleans, goes on walks with Henry, and then crashes when she can. I, on the other hand, keep things going at a rabid pace in my sector of the house (the ofice) and out of the house (on the campaign trail). Life is great as a three person family! Who in the world let me become a DAD??!!!
